Ronald McDonald House Northeast Ohio is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, but McDonald’s Owner/Operators have been an essential partner since the very beginning. In 1979, Northeast Ohio McDonald’s Owner/Operators helped fund the Cleveland Ronald McDonald House, the ninth House in the world and the first in Ohio. They subsequently contributed to the openings of Ronald McDonald House of Akron in 1985, RMHC of Northeastern Ohio in 1988, and RMHC Mahoning Valley and Western Pennsylvania in 1993.
