Groups and organizations can host events to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Northeast Ohio programs. If you are interested in hosting an independent fundraising event or creating a special way to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House NEO at your business, school, or organization, fill out the application form below. Our organization relies heavily on volunteers to achieve its mission. We often have volunteers represent us in the community. If you would like a representative at your event, we will make our best effort to find a volunteer or staff person to accept a check and/or to address the attendees. Because of the large number of events and the limited number of staff, staff members are generally unable to attend third-party events.
With advance notice and depending on availability, we can provide materials about our organization and programs for events. We cannot provide any materials specific to a third-party fundraiser, such as event programs or signage.
Only those donations made online or sent directly to Ronald McDonald House NEO will receive an individual receipt or acknowledgement. We can provide one acknowledgement for the event coordinator, but IRS regulations do not allow receipts to be given by anyone but Ronald McDonald House NEO staff.
If my participants donate directly to the Ronald McDonald House, can staff provide me with their names and amounts donated?
Third-party event organizers cannot use the Ronald McDonald House NEO tax exemption status in conjunction with the event. However, Ronald McDonald House NEO staff can provide a verification letter confirming the organizer’s intent to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House NEO. All checks from participants of third-party events and programs must be made out to the third-party organization, not Ronald McDonald House NEO, unless previously approved by Ronald McDonald House NEO staff. For individuals requesting donations to Ronald McDonald House NEO in lieu of gifts for a special occasion, checks should be made out to the Ronald McDonald House Northeast Ohio and sent to 10415 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.
